Description
Seeing as the demon character has been chosen by my class, I decided to get some more poses down for the guy to kind of get an idea for how he should move and such.
Taking the idea of the flaming fists from the previous action pose sketch, I wanted to try a different variant on his attacks. So in this case, a lunging attack with the fire swirling around him! Though it kind of looks more like plasma than fire...
I do admit that I'm not used to drawing fire and shading, but I think it came out to an OK standard! There is always room for improvement!
It's a good entry for my portfolio I guess! Hope people like it!

Hmm, you're right, your fire looks more like plasma/smoke.
There are tons of fire tutorials on D.A. to choose from, but just glomming 'em all together, I can give you these tips:
Fire needs more clearly defined edges.
Little sparks or 'slivers' of flame separated from the main body are good to include.
Fire is BRIGHT. Use the Dodge tool, or a saturated, bright orangey-red for the center of your flame.
Different fires look different, e.g. a gas flame vs. a candle wick. I've found that regular ol' fire gets boring unless you give it another artistic element. Since your Ogre guy is mostly red, maybe when he gets a "powerup" in the game, his flames turn blue or purple? Could be a good contrast.
