Description

Meru     God of Fortunes

“When many mortals of The Lands  grew unhappy at their lot in life, Meru came into being. Greeting the mortals with a charming smile, he’d listen to their pleas and offer them a deal.

Each follower of Meru would be graced with Meru’s presence throughout their life, and would be asked if they wished to make a deal to change their fate. Each mortal would be allowed one deal only. “

Brother to EternaThe God of Fortunes is considered to be notoriously charming and full of trickery, and a deity of great power. After all, the ability to rewrite one’s fate and reweave a new past and future, a whole new reality even through the fractal eternity of time, is an absurdly strong one.

Perhaps it is rather telling then, that this deity descends upon The Lands to interact with the mortals, much like Umos. Perhaps out of boredom, malice or even kindness, he would offer a deal to anyone who would need it.

Many mortals have come to view Meru as a powerful demon who became a deity though shady means, and that he is not to be trusted with his deals. Despite this, many mortals often see him as a patron god of luck and praise Meru through a flick of a coin.

Those that have encountered Meru, have all shared experiences of how it felt. Time frozen in place yet they could still move before a figure would appear. The world would slowly fade away from sight. Leaving only the mortal, Meru and The Void as the details of the deal began to finalize.

If they agreed to the terms, Meru would vanish and the mortal saw flashes of elegant patterns of wires being torn and rewove anew, before suddenly finding themselves in the exact spot they had been in before the whole situation took place but with their life successfully changed to their agreement.
